The 2015 Pink Bridal Show

May Flowers once again had the privilege of participating in the Chattanooga Pink Bridal Show in July! We had a blast designing our booth and were able to talk to a lot of sweet and excited brides!

We knew we wanted to create something dramatic and striking using some new and different floral materials that we don't get to use at the shop very often, so we started our inspiration with the colors of summer berries - raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and figs - and ran from there. Our first step was to order flowers. We got an array of fabulous florals including dahlias, ranunculus, stock, Darcy garden roses, ninebark, agonis, astilbe, nigella pods, coxcomb and even some raspberries, blackberries and pomegranates.

Bouquet with blackberries and pomegranantes

As far as the floral designing went, we started with Christy's gorgeous bridal bouquet which we used to inspire the rest of the designs. This bouquet featured hanging amaranthus, dark pink astilbe, garden roses, ranunculus, blackberries, millet, allium, astrantia, coxcomb and scabiosa.

Bridal Bouquet and Boutonnieres

There were a few other bridal bouquets as well - a classic white bouquet, a wild kale bouquet, a sweet blush bouquet and a peachy fall bouquet.

Our booth also featured a flower recipe board with calligraphy by Southern Niceties, a hanging trough chock full of flowers, a desk drawer spilling florals, and one of Yellow Cake Company's fabulous cakes.

We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed being there and designing the flowers!
