Molly + Chris

Molly and Chris' elegant wedding was definitely one for the books at May Flowers. We were so thrilled to work with this sweet couple. They were looking for an elegant, upscale and classic feel for their wedding with the ceremony at Second Presbyterian Church in downtown Chattanooga and the reception at the always fabulous Read House Silver Ballroom. These incredible photos you see here were done by Lanie Kay Photography and the whole event was planned by the spectacular ladies at Victoria Love Events & Staffing.

Bride and Groom

The color scheme for the wedding was navy, ivory, blush and pink. Molly wanted her flowers to be lush, mounded and fluffy with a high-petal count so the main florals used throughout the event were peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas and ranunculus.

Her bouquet was perfectly round and full of fluffy flowers -- isn't she a stunning bride?

The bridesmaids' bouquets were smaller versions of Molly's bouquet with the addition of ranunculus.

Wedding Party Flowers

The boutonnieres for Chris and the groomsmen were composed of a white ranunculus bloom, sprigs of Italian ruscus, and sprigs of eucalyptus.

Boutonniere

This wedding was our first at Second Presbyterian and we loved getting the chance to work there! The gorgeous windows and lighting made everything look magical. Each pew had a miniature bouquet of flowers for a total of 48 bouquets which created a stunning effect as guests walked down the aisles to their seats.

The large altar pieces were composed of bells of Ireland, larkspur and curly willow for height, white hydrangeas, pink and white roses as well as cascading ruscus and amaranthus.

Traditional Altar Arrangement

The outside of the church was decorated with a small floral accent on the railing to guide guests toward the doors which were adorned with two lush floral wreaths.

The reception was even more dazzling than the ceremony if that's even possible! There were a variety of different centerpieces throughout the reception. On the round tables there were tall arrangements elevated onto glass cylinder vases and floral wreaths around tall silver candlesticks.

The real star of the show, though, was the incredible floral runner that stretched the lengths of the long seated tables. The runner was composed of peonies, roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus, and assorted greenery. Aren't they to die for?

And last but not least we have to talk about the cake! It was a gorgeous blush pink cake with ivory accents and a floral wreath around the base.

This was one of our very favorite weddings and we were so thankful to have been able to work with Molly and Chris and all of their other fabulous vendors!
