May Flowers is a custom floral design studio specializing in weddings and events in the Chattanooga area. Owner Christy Staven holds a degree in Floral Management from Mississippi State University. Her floral creations are a fresh take on traditional composition rooted in classical design elements. She and her fabulous team bring many years of experience and love for weddings to the industry. Along with her staff, Christy will work to go above and beyond to make your visions for your wedding flowers come to life.
May Flowers made its debut in January 2013 as a little wedding flower studio in a cottage. Today, May Flowers provides over 100 couples a year with gorgeous wedding flowers and the team is looking forward to growing more in the coming years!

Owner & Lead Designer
Christy discovered she wanted to work with flowers while she was in college. After working at the campus flower shop, she fell in love with floral design and changed career paths. She now holds a degree in Floral Management from Mississippi State University. An internship at a local flower shop drew her to Chattanooga and began her career as a wedding flower specialist, all the while dreaming of owning her own business someday.
Chelsea Risley
Shop Manager & Designer
Chelsea began working with flowers as a summer job when she was a teenager and discovered that she loved every aspect of the industry from processing flowers to setting up weddings. She worked at several different flower shops throughout high school and college and joined May Flowers in its early beginnings. After graduating from Berry College with a degree in English in 2015, she moved back to Chattanooga to work full time at May Flowers. She now serves as the shop manager but still finds time to assist with wedding flower design.
